The fintech landscape in the Nordic and Baltic regions continues to be one of the most successful at producing unicorns with recent examples that include TransferWise, from Estonia, and Klarna Bank, from Sweden.
As we head into 2020, we look today at some of this year’s top fintech events and conferences to help you keep up with the region’s rapidly changing fintech landscape.
sTARTUp Day 2020

sTARTUp Day is the biggest festival in the Baltics, bringing together startups, traditional entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and students. The aim of the event is to connect startup-minded people and celebrate entrepreneurship in the smart city of Tartu in Estonia.
sTARTUp Day 2020 will be a three-day festival with a marvelous stage program, effective matchmaking, hands-on seminars, an exhibition area full of innovation and vibrant side events. The inspirational-educational program will consist of various topics ranging from marketing to space tech, fundraising to the smart city, AI to the creative economy.
PaymentConf 2020

On February 4 and 5, 2020, PaymentConf 2020 will bring together payment product owners, engineers, managers, CTOs and other professionals who are dealing with payment innovation and regulation to provide answers about the latest advancements from compliance and technology angles.
The event will give the opportunity for payment professionals and fintech startups to find out all about the current developments, regulations, and innovations in technologies, as well as hear the real-life experience stories of other companies.
PaymentConf 2020 will take place in Riga, Latvia. It is organized by the biggest IT community in Latvia, DevClub.lv, which also organized annual conferences including RigaDevDays, FrontCon and DevOps Unicorns.
Sthlm Fintech Week 2020

Sthlm Fintech Week is coming back for its second run from February 10 to 14, 2020. This year’s event will allow participants to discuss and learn in the dedicated tracks of regtech, insurtech, decentralized finance and artificial intelligence (AI) in fintech. Topics covered will include public fintech initiatives and regulations, combating the dark side of fintech, blockchain, AI, and more.

TechChill 2020
