Description
The creation and development of financing products is an interesting and versatile process. We are currently looking for a Head of Credit Risk – owner of the function, who would be a great leader and able not only to manage the function but also to do daily ‘hands-on’ tasks in credit control and operations field development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a chairman member of the Credit Committee, contributing expertise on complex or high-exposure lending decisions;
- Develop and implement the policies and procedures to mitigate the credit risks within the business;
- Develop risk maps and action plans to mitigate financial and non-financial risks;
- Ensure that appropriate internal documentation is raised and applied through all companies departments so that lending/payments products are processed accurately and timeously in line with internal procedures, policies and strategies;
- Monitor and report business documentation, lending portfolio in the business lines and provide guidance to senior management on risk triggers, limits and actions;
- Develop and monitor credit risks and key risk indicators;
- Provide supporting documentation and assistance within internal and external audits;
- Identify areas for process improvements;
- Escalate and inform about operational and credit risks breaches;
- Participate in developing new financial products, where relevant;
- Assist the CRO, CLO and Head of Operations in development and review of Policies, Standards, Administration and Monitoring documentation.
Qualifications
- A degree in business administration in either of Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics / Statistics;
- At least 5 years of similar working experience within the fintech or bank;
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal framework;
- Very good understanding of lending, payments, banking, operations, risk processes;
- Understanding of risk identification and measurement concepts (PD and LGD);
- Strong understanding of risk and operations management principles;
- Strong understanding of the legal complexities of lending and payments in fintech and /or banking field;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office;
- Good English and Lithuanian language skills.
