Compliance Manager
Description
As the new Compliance Manager, you will join a team of a few Compliance professionals in an English-speaking environment. The position is crucial to supporting its mission to make the financial markets accessible to everyone.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with FIU regulators
- Set up AML framework
- Perform and manage CDD/EDD processes
- Coordinate AML/KYC activities with compliance colleagues in Luxembourg & Tallinn
- Assign risk ratings / assess risks and lead customer remediation projects
- Crypto and Fiat transactions monitoring
- Investigate and act on financial crimes including SAR/STR filings
- Manage manual reviews of PEP and sanctions alerts and discard false matches
- Support management of workflow related to interaction with regulatory and supervisory authorities (in Estonia)
- Coordination and timely update of Compliance internal policies and procedures as per Estonian legislation
- Compliance monitoring and support assessment of the effectiveness of key controls
- Building, developing and maintaining Compliance function methodologies, tools and solutions
- Organizing and improving compliance reporting and risk assessment tools and solutions
- Identification and assessment of risks associated with the business activities, including the development of risk mitigation measures in the assigned areas of responsibility
- Collaborating with stakeholders to manage identified compliance gaps, issues and risks and to implement action plans and recommendations
- Managing the team in Tallinn, providing internal training on the relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, Compliance Certification (e.g. CAMS) is a plus
- 5+ years Compliance experience within a Crypto Exchange, with ePayments or in a Fintech
- Experience with any Blockchain analysis tool and KYC RegTech tools used by Fintech
- Good knowledge of Estonian regulatory framework and industry practices within financial/virtual assets services
- Experience with development and application of internal policies and procedures.
- Team player with solution-oriented way of thinking and high level of motivation
- A methodical and diligent approach to deliver accurate and timely results
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Estonian
