Accounting Implementation Project Manager
Description

As Wise continues to scale and mature our Finance team, Wise is on the hunt for an experienced Accounting professional to join the team in Tallinn.

This is not a standard project management role – Wise is looking for someone that loves the challenge of delivering complex projects.

Responsibilities
  • As an accounting implementation project manager, you will contribute to scaleable finance integrations of  Wise's new and existing product suite.
  • You will be working independently on integrations into the finance system, navigating an array of diverse and at times conflicting stakeholder needs.
Qualifications
  • Theory – You have a professional finance qualification such as the ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent with proven post qualification experience. You have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
    Practice – You have managed projects and demonstrated resilience to break through and overcome challenges. You may have built things from scratch.
  • Ownership – You work independently, assume responsibility and make your own judgements. Be prepared to take ownership over complex new areas and solve problems with minimal guidance.
  • Balance – You have demonstrated experience and confidence in decision making with respect to prioritisation of multiple deliverables based on risk, business need as well as other factors.
  • Love getting things done – You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility to do whatever needs doing to solve problems.
  • Collaborative and Influencing Skills – You work well in an international team environment, and know how to have an impact through others. You have partnered with a complex internal and external stakeholder group and have strong communication skills.
  • Development – You are keen to learn and develop your knowledge of how a FinTech and fast growing scale-up operates.
    You enjoy getting deep into the processing logic. You like to be thorough and understand how things work and all their dependencies in-depth.
  • Travel – you’re happy to occasionally travel internationally to other Wise offices (e.g. London) or for team offsites.Extra experience that would be great:
  • Relevant industry experience (fin tech or financial services)
  • Basic SQL
  • Working with business analytics tools (e.g. Looker)
  • Communications and presentation skills
